SLAM History & Heritage

1979 - A group of friends and sailing enthusiasts decide to develop a range of clothes to satisfy their own demands. Based on passion and knowledge, SLAM was born.

1990 - SLAM became the official suppliers to the Italian Sailing Federation. A partnership that continues to this day.

2005 - Start of the collaboration with Russell Coutts, 3 times America’s Cup winner. The face of SLAM and brand ambassador, his professional experience on the finest racing boats in the world, provides us with invaluable product testing and ongoing development.

2009 - SLAM has over 40 shops. Many are situated in some of the most desirable parts in the world, such as Portofino and St Tropez, we are certain SLAM is continuing to be seen in only the best places.

2010 - SLAM opens its first flagship store on the shores of Lake Windermere, situated in the Lake District.
